BayAreaManufacturingCareers.com is funded by a grant from the California Community College Chancellor's Office. The 28 community colleges in the Bay Area (most of them with manufacturing or related programs) are working with Bay Area manufacturing companies to get the word out about manufacturing. We understand that this industry is of vital importance to the United States and to the Bay Area and we want to get more people involved.
Manufacturing offers life-long careers with good pay and benefits and we want to make people aware of the opportunities in this sector. With a large percentage of manufacturing employees expected to retire over the next decade, now is the time to get people trained and interested in these careers.
